It’s true, Rogue is permanently closed, guys….
This statement is coming to you straight from me, Torie, one of the owners. I know many of you have questions, and I appreciate your patience. I’ve been trying to find the right words to express how sad, disappointed, frustrated, and a million other feelings we are all feeling at this time… I finally have time this week to sit down and write to you all, so you know why you won’t be seeing us at our Cummings Location anymore.
I’ve spent so much time at this location, getting to know all the regulars of the office park over the years, and I know most of you by your first names. I am truly sorry we had no time to alert or warn you that we wouldn't be there Monday morning.
Anthony and I have operated this location in Cummings Center for over 10 years. We were
-Marino's Cafe
-Flip The Bird
-The Hatchery
-and then Rogue (as short lived as this concept was :( )
We have been suffering through the aftermath of the pandemic and trying to operate a restaurant in an office park, which as anyone here can clearly see has not had the same hustle and bustle or large population of office workers since 2019. While people continue to navigate this new world of business that we’ve found ourselves working in, more people are choosing to work remote, or move their businesses elsewhere.
It's been difficult since 2020, but through the years since then we’ve continued to pivot and adapt the best we could to keep the ship afloat, which is obvious with our concept changes over the last decade.
Q4 of 2025, it really became unmanageable and obvious that we were not going to be able to afford to be here anymore. It happened very fast and we had to focus on moving our things out and keeping all of our staff employed, which WE DID!!! We're all settling into our new temporary commissary kitchen in the Danvers Flip The Bird location, and we’ll continue to focus on the other FTB locations as the new year approaches.
We had high hopes for Rogue, and I think it would have been amazing for the people that did frequent the Cummings Center if we’d been able to float until the word got out to those of you working in the office park. We just didn’t make it over the hump.
We hope we can still see you from time to time at our other locations, and we truly wish the best to the next restaurateur starting up at 107P!
In the mean time, SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS!! Grassy Roots, Early Harvest, Soall Café, Regina, the Convenience Stores….. They rely heavily on office park traffic, and having variety is a wonderful thing 😊 Let’s try to keep everyone floating through these difficult economic times.
Thank you all for your business over the years, the good times, and the memories! We love you all!
-Torie
